มิตาหมอประจำหมู่บ้านทำงานหาเงินส่งให้คู่หมั้นอย่างวรเมธเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย แต่กลับไม่รู้ว่าคู่หมั้นแต่งงานมีลูกไปแล้วในเมือง มิตาตัดสินใจเลิกกับวรเมธเด็ดขาด ในระหว่างนั้นด้วยความบังเอิญ มิตาได้ช่วยชีวิตทีปกรผู้ที่เป็นคนใหญ่คนโต ทีปกรตกหลุมรักมิตาตั้งแต่แรกเห็น และขอแต่งงานกับเธอ ในที่ทำงานทีปกรเป็นคนเด็ดขาดเข้มแข็ง แต่พอกลับบ้านกลับกลายเป็นผู้ชายที่เชื่อฟังภรรยาทุกอย่าง
