Description
Acht Jahre, nachdem Vincent sie ohne ein Wort verlassen hat, wird Ella - inzwischen alleinerziehende Mutter - von einem Hochhaus gestoßen. In letzter Sekunde rettet sie ein geheimnisvoller, maskierter Mann mit Flügeln. Als sie wieder zu sich kommt, sitzt ausgerechnet Vincent an ihrem Krankenbett. Er bestreitet, der maskierte Retter zu sein, behauptet aber, seine Feinde hätten es auf sie abgesehen - und verlangt, dass sie zu ihrem eigenen Schutz bei ihm einzieht. Warum spielt der Mann, der ihr einst das Herz gebrochen hat, plötzlich den Helden? Und warum wirkt er... nicht ganz menschlich? Kann Ella ihm noch einmal vertrauen – oder verbirgt er mehr als nur sein wahres Gesicht?
