Description
Nachdem ihre einst wohlhabende Familie alles verloren hat, wird die jungfräuliche Erbin Lily Holt an Mason Black verkauft, den berüchtigten, grausamen Erben des Black-Familienvermögens. Aus Angst vor seinem gewalttätigen Ruf, flieht Lily in der Nacht ihrer Scheinehe vor Mason. Dabei stößt sie auf Cal Foster, einen liebenswerten, attraktiven Bauern, der sich auf den ersten Blick in sie verliebt. Als Cal jedoch herausfindet, dass der Mann, vor dem Lily flieht, sein Vermieter und langjähriger Rivale ist, riskiert er sein Leben und seine Existenz, um sie zu beschützen.
