Description
Declan, der Erbe der Familie Harrison, heiratet aufgrund einer Familienvereinbarung Claire, die Tochter eines wohlhabenden Magnaten. An ihrem Hochzeitstag muss Declan jedoch schockiert feststellen, dass Claire, die er zum ersten Mal trifft, eine übergewichtige Frau ist, die fast über 130 kg wiegt. Die Hochzeitsgäste machen Declan schnell zum Gespött der Veranstaltung. Widerwillig beginnt Declan das Eheleben mit dieser Fremden, und Claires intensive Liebe zu ihm erhöht nur seinen Stress. Als Claires Bemühungen, ihre Liebe zu schützen, Declan ungewollt verärgern, lässt er, besessen von Äußerlichkeiten, seine Frustrationen auf grausame Weise an ihr aus und kritisiert sogar ihr Gewicht. Tief verletzt beschließt Claire, eine Abnehmkur zu machen, fest entschlossen, Declan dazu zu bringen, sein Verhalten zu bereuen.
