Description
청소년 센터 붕괴 사고로 딸 알리사가 비극적으로 사망한 후, 헤이즐은 전 애인 캔디스와 딸 킴벌리를 대신 구하기로 한 소방관 남편 제이스에게 정의와 복수를 찾는다. 슬픔과 분노에 휩싸인 헤이즐은 알리사의 죽음에 대해 제이스와 캔디스에게 책임을 묻는다. 슬픔을 헤쳐나가는 과정에서 헤이즐은 자신의 고통을 자선 활동으로 전환하여 어린이를 돕기 위한 재단을 설립한다. 죄책감에 시달리던 제이스는 자신의 결정을 바로잡기 위해 노력하다가 자진해서 망하게 된다. 결국 헤이즐은 새로운 사랑을 찾고 제이스가 자신의 행동에 대한 책임을 지게 한다.
