As the CEO of a multi-million dollar company, Mrs. Hearth lives a happy life with her 8-year-old twins, Dennis and Stella, and their older sister, Amy. That all changes when her secretary, John, attempts to kidnap Dennis but things go sideways when he mistakenly grabs Stella, Dennis's twin sister. Worried about getting caught, he tries to murder Stella but a Janitor named Michael saves her and adopts her, renaming her Lia. As Lia grows up with Michael as her father, she forgets her previous life of luxury. Ten Years Later, Lia and Dennis are attending the same school where he and his friends bully her relentlessly, not knowing she’s his twin sister. Mrs. Hearth and her family never stop searching for Stella while not knowing Lia, the girl they despise and pick on, is actually Stella. Lia and Michael endure humiliation after humiliation until Lia is eventually expelled. To make matters worse, Michael is diagnosed with leukemia and Lia has to take up a job to make ends meet. Upon discovering Lia is their long lost daughter and sister, Mrs. Hearth and Dennis desperately beg Lia to come back home, showering her with over-the-top gifts, but the damage is done and she wants nothing to do with her old family.
