"Nachdem bei Ryder Van Woodsen Hirntumor im Endstadium diagnostiziert wurde, lässt er die Liebe seines Lebens, Astrid Marie, brutal fallen, damit sie jemand anderen finden kann, mit dem sie es verbringen kann. Jahre später, Obwohl er nicht damit gerechnet hat, so lange zu leben wie er, kämpft er immer noch mit Krebssymptomen: Er trifft zufällig wieder auf Astrid.
