Description
Uma tragédia tirou a vida de entes queridos de ambas as famílias e forçou a separação de Sofia e Justin. Cinco anos depois, Sofia retorna a Los Angeles como uma jornalista renomada e Justin se torna um astro do beisebol. Porém, o reencontro deles é tenso e marcado por mal-entendidos: Sofia finge estar casada e Justin acredita que ela o abandonou por dinheiro. O casal enfrenta obstáculos constantes, da oposição de Doris às intrigas de Esther, que chega a planejar um assassinato. No desfecho, Justin descobre toda a verdade sobre o passado, Doris confessa seus erros e Esther é desmascarada e presa. Superando a dor, Sofia e Justin alcançam a plena realização amorosa e profissional: ela termina uma grande reportagem e ele vence o campeonato. A história deles ressalta como a honestidade e o perdão permitem que o amor renasça das ruínas da mentira e da violência.
